汇报提要:

Solid-state defect centers, such as the nitrogen-vacancy centers in diamond, represent a promising and versatile platform for quantum technologies, with potential in areas as diverse as sensing, simulation, networking, and computation. However, the presence of noise still makes real-world applications challenging. To address this issue, we have demonstrated for the first time fault-tolerant protocols at the logical qubit level, which is an important step towards quantum information processing based on solid-state spins. I will also present some further progress in overcoming the challenge of noise in diamond to facilitate its practical use.
