汇报内容简介：Due to the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) requirement from the U.S. government, the automotive industry in the U.S. has to increase the content of the Gen3 Advanced High Strength Steels (AHSS) in their vehicle to reduce the weight. However, what is the impact of the AHSS to the existing manufacturing capability? How can the stamping industry deal with this challenge, and what a kind of role can universities play?

汇报人简介：Dr. Jingguo Xiong graduated from University of Missouri-Columbia with a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering. His industry experience includes working in A.O. Smith Automotive, which was the largest automotive frame supplier in the US at that time, and other automotive suppliers in North America. His latest assignment is leading one of the U.S. OEMs in Formability and Stamping Quality Control. He also has chaired the Auto/Steel Partnership Advanced High Strength Steel Stamping Team since 2008 and served in the Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE) as an organizer of Sheet/Hydro/Gas Forming Technology from 2007 to 2010.
